Which college in North Carolina has the most land?

Hoping to find a college with a sprawling, green campus. Can anyone tell me which colleges in NC would be best for that? Green space, walking trails, that sort of thing.

Duke University in Durham, North Carolina may be what you're looking for. Duke spans over 8,600 acres, which makes it the largest university by land size in North Carolina. Duke Forest itself covers over 7,000 acres, providing plenty of green space and a network of walking trails. Their campus is known for its picturesque Gothic architecture and vast botanical gardens.

North Carolina State University, with a main campus of approximately 2,140 acres, is another larger institution to consider. Home to the JC Raulston Arboretum, they truly commit to maintaining a green and open campus.

Finally, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, covering 729 acres, is worth considering. It is considered one of the most beautiful campuses with its sprawling quads and historic buildings. Though it's smaller than the other two mentioned, it still provides ample outdoor spaces for students.

All these universities have impressive campuses with plenty of green space. Planning a visit to these campuses when you can might help you get a better feel for what each one has to offer.
