Latest NC Community College Articulation Agreements

Looking for some current info on NC Community College Articulation Agreements. I've struggled to find up-to-date data online. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Articulation agreements between community colleges and four-year institutions are typically designed to streamline the transfer process. In North Carolina, the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) provides certain guarantees for the transfer of credits between North Carolina community colleges and the colleges within the University of North Carolina system, as well as many independent colleges in the state.

Under the CAA, North Carolina has established a set of Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC) courses. These courses are designed to fulfill lower-division general education requirements, and if a student completes these UGETC courses with at least a "C", they are guaranteed to transfer.

In addition, Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) degree holders who graduate from a North Carolina community college with a minimum 2.0 GPA and meet other requirements have a strong pathway to transfer. They're guaranteed junior standing and will have fulfilled the lower-division general education requirements at all UNC system schools and other participating institutions.

However, please note that while the CAA eases the transfer process, admission is not guaranteed, especially for specialized or limited enrollment programs.

You might want to get in touch directly with your community college advising office or the admissions office of the four-year institution(s) you're interested in for the most accurate, updated information. They can provide a wealth of assistance and specific advice when it comes to making your route the smoothest it can be.

Also, ensure that you keep an eye on the website of the NC Community Colleges – sometimes, the latest articulation agreements may be published there.
