What's the damage? The most expensive colleges in the US

Hey guys, I am putting together a list of colleges I'm interested in but tuition rates are through the roof these days! Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the top 3 most expensive colleges are? Would kind of like to know the top-end of my potential debt, haha. Thanks!

Hello! It's true, college tuition can seem quite daunting. The top 3 most expensive colleges for the 2024-2025 academic year, considering tuition plus room and board, are:

1. University of Chicago: The University of Chicago currently holds the title for most expensive, with total costs reaching roughly $93,633 per year.

2. Columbia University: Coming in a close second is Columbia University, where the total cost for one year is around $93,417.

3. Harvey Mudd College: This school, which is one of the premier science, engineering, and mathematics colleges in the nation, comes in third with yearly costs around $93,131.

These figures include tuition, fees, and room and board, but not other costs like books, travel, and personal expenses. Also, keep in mind that many students will not pay the full listed price due to financial aid and scholarships. That being said, it's definitely important to consider all the financial factors as you build your college list. Good luck!
