Major with most intelligent students?

I'm curious and it might sound a bit stereotypical, but is there a major that's often associated with having the most intelligent people? Not that intelligence can be accurately measured or is major-specific, but still, wanted to know your thoughts.

It's important to clarify that intelligence cannot be accurately determined by a person's chosen major. Intelligence is multifaceted and manifests in myriad ways - it is not just academics or intellect but also includes creativity, problem-solving abilities, emotional understanding, and more.

However, certain disciplines often get tagged as being for "smart" people due to the complexity of the subjects or the cognitive demands placed on the students. For instance, STEM fields like Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science are typically associated with high intelligence because they require strong analytical skills, problem-solving capacities, and comfort with abstraction.

On the other hand, Humanities and Social Sciences, like Philosophy and Economics, also require high levels of abstract thinking, logical reasoning, and critical analysis. For example, Philosophy majors often score very high on standardized tests like the GRE and LSAT, which could also associate this field with high intelligence.

In the end, though, remember that intelligence is much more complex and multifaceted. Every major has its unique challenges and requirements, and being successful in any field requires a blend of hard work, perseverance, interest, and intellectual capacities relevant to that specific field. What might be intellectually challenging for one person could be straightforward for another, and vice versa. It's about finding what suits you best and where your strengths lie.
