Which HBCUs Accept the Common Application?

Starting to get my college list together and I’m trying to streamline the app process a bit. Do any of you know which HBCUs accept the Common App? It would make things so much easier if I could apply to multiple HBCUs using one platform.

Absolutely, I can help guide you on this. Applying to college can indeed become quite a task, and using platforms like the Common Application does help in streamlining the process. Good news is, several HBCUs do accept the Common Application, which will make your application process more efficient.

Some of the HBCUs that are on the Common Application list include renowned institutions like Spelman College, Howard University, Morehouse College, and Tuskegee University, among others. However, it's important to note that the list of participating institutions may change, so I always recommend checking the current year's list on the Common App website for the most up-to-date information.

While filling out your Common App, remember to tailor your application to highlight your strengths and what makes you unique. The Common App gives you the chance to showcase different facets of your experiences, so make sure to give a comprehensive view of your accomplishments, both academic and extracurricular.

Lastly, if you have any HBCUs in mind that do not participate in the Common Application, it might be worth looking into whether they're part of the Common Black College Application, which allows students to apply to multiple HBCUs with one application. This can be another efficient alternative for applying to colleges that might not be on the Common App list.

Good luck with your applications, and if you have any more questions about the process, feel free to reach out!
