Colleges Producing Successful PGA Players

Hey folks, is there any info about which colleges have the most alumni currently on the PGA tour? I'm considering pursuing golf in college, and I'm curious where I might have the best chances of going pro.

Several US colleges are well-known for their excellent golf programs that have produced many professional players. These include:

1. University of Oklahoma: The Oklahoma Sooners' men's golf team has produced several professional golfers who have competed in the PGA tour, such as Anthony Kim and Grant Waite.

2. Florida State University: Alumni from FSU's golf team that have gone on to the PGA tour include Daniel Berger, Brooks Koepka, and Hubert Green.

3. Arizona State University: ASU has given rise to golfers like Phil Mickelson, Jon Rahm, and Paul Casey.

4. University of Texas: With notable alum like Jordan Spieth, Tom Kite, and Ben Crenshaw, UT Austin has a sturdy reputation for grooming successful professional golfers.

5. Stanford University: Tiger Woods, one of the most renowned golfers of all time, graduated from Stanford, as did Patrick Rodgers and Maverick McNealy.

Keep in mind that while these colleges have strong golf programs, getting into the PGA tour involves more than collegiate play. You'll need to work hard, continuously improve your skills, and perhaps most importantly, remember that the PGA tour is highly selective and extremely competitive. However, attending a college with a well-known golf program can provide you with excellent training, competitive play, and networking opportunities to get your foot in the door. Best of luck!
