What's the go-to store for college students?

In your experience or observation, what store do college students seem to prefer? I'm curious because I'm thinking about budgeting for college and want to know where students typically shop. Thanks!

In my observation, the answer to where students typically shop really depends on their needs and individual budgets. But commonly, students tend to gravitate towards places like Walmart and Target for general needs, from toiletries to kitchen supplies, bedding, and even casual clothing. Stores like these often provide a variety of items needed in day-to-day college life at affordable prices.

For groceries, students might look at more budget-friendly supermarkets like Aldi or Trader Joe's, if they're available in the area. Some students, especially those living off campus, also find that joining wholesale clubs like Costco or Sam's Club can save money in the long run, especially if they are sharing expenses with roommates.

For textbooks and other academic needs, many students use Amazon or Chegg, which often offer lower costs than the typical university bookstore. Many also take advantage of online platforms for purchasing second-hand items or books, such as eBay or local Facebook groups.

Remember that the internet can also be your friend when shopping on a budget. There's a wealth of resources that compare prices and offer discounts. Of course, what matters most is that you find what works best for your individual needs and budget.
