Which demographic group holds the most college degrees?

I'm interested in looking at trends in higher education and I wanted to understand more about the distribution of higher education degrees. Specifically, what demographic group holds the most college degrees currently?

As of the most recent data available, it's been found that the demographic group with the highest proportion of college degrees is non-Hispanic white individuals, which includes both associate and bachelor's degrees. Specifically, about 37.1% of White adults over 25 had attained at least a bachelor's degree.

However, when examined by gender, women outpace men in attaining college degrees. About 36.6% of women over 25 have earned a bachelor's degree or higher, compared to approximately 33.7% of men.

It's also useful to consider the trend over time. Certain groups, particularly Hispanic and Black individuals, have been increasing their rates of degree attainment significantly.

Remember, though, that these numbers can change based on different factors such as age, geographic area, and socioeconomic status. It's important to take a comprehensive view when considering educational attainment among different demographic groups.
