Life after Stuyvesant High - college choices?

I was reading about Stuyvesant High School in NYC and got curious. Does anyone know where most of its students end up going to college? Is there a common choice or trend?

Stuyvesant High School, known for its rigorous curriculum and competitive environment, is one of the top public high schools in the United States. As such, its students are often sought after by prestigious universities throughout the country. However, the ultimate college choice varies widely among graduates, depending on their personal interests, financial situations, and a myriad of other factors.

That being said, certain patterns are perceivable. Many Stuyvesant High students continue their education at Ivy League institutions or equally prestigious schools such as Stanford or MIT. This includes schools like Columbia University and Cornell University, which have been popular destinations due to their Ivy status and relative proximity to New York City.

The State University of New York system and the City University of New York system are also common choices, particularly for students seeking a more affordable college education. In a similar vein, some students opt for public universities outside of New York that offer excellent education, such as the University of California, Berkeley.

Also of note are a significant number of students who pursue specialized programs, such as the 6-year medicine program at Brown University or the 7-year dental program at University of Pennsylvania. This illustrates the wide variety of interests and paths Stuyvesant students pursue post-graduation.

However, these are general trends and it's important to remember that each student ultimately chooses a path that best suits their academic goals, personal aspirations, and financial situation.
