Starting dates for Fall Semesters

So, I've been wondering about something. When does the fall semester usually start at most colleges? I know it must be different for each school, but is there an average time frame I should expect?

Absolutely, the start date for fall semesters can vary quite a bit depending on the college, but most typically start in late August or early September. For some schools, especially those on a semester system, classes might start around the third week of August. For others, especially those on a quarter or trimester system, classes might not start until late September or even early October. So, if you were to take an average, you could expect classes to start in the last week of August or first week of September.

However, you'll also want to account for any orientation or move-in days, which typically occur a few days to a week before classes start. Schools usually publish their academic calendars online a year or more in advance, so once you know which schools you’re interested in, you could check their websites for exact start dates. Remember to also check when you need to finalize your course registration as this usually happens before classes start.
