Creating an SAT/ACT study guide schedule for the year: Advice needed!

So I'm planning out my junior year and, honestly, I want to nail the SAT/ACT. Any advice on creating a long-term study guide or schedule that won't drive me insane? How do you balance this with schoolwork and life in general?

Hello! It's wonderful that you're being proactive about your test prep. I recommend starting with a diagnostic test for each exam to see which one suits you best. Once you identify your stronger exam, focus on prepping for that one.

For a balanced schedule, aim to study for the SAT/ACT 3-4 times a week for about 1-2 hours each session. Be consistent but also flexible; if you have a particularly heavy week of schoolwork, adjust your study time accordingly. Allocate more time to subjects that need improvement and incorporate practice tests once a month to track your progress.

Mixing in study methods, such as group study sessions, can also keep you engaged and make studying less monotonous. Don't forget to schedule in breaks and downtime too—they are just as important for maintaining overall well-being and ensuring the time you do spend studying is productive. Best of luck!
