Question about state-wise density of colleges/universities

Just a quick question, guys. Does anyone know which state has the most colleges and universities? I'm not really choosy about which state I go to, so I want to have options. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! That's an interesting question. When it comes to number of colleges and universities, California actually comes out on top. As of 2021, the state has over 400 institutions. This includes everything from community colleges to prestigious universities like Stanford and UC Berkeley.

Another state with a high number of colleges and universities is New York, with over 300 post-secondary institutions. This includes both public and private colleges and universities.

Texas and Pennsylvania also have substantial numbers of colleges and universities.

So if you're looking to have a wide array of options, these states would be a great place to start your college search. But do remember, the fit of a school is far more important than its location or the number of schools in its state. Happy college hunting!
