Liberal Colleges?

Hi there, I'm someone who aligns more with liberal views and I'm looking for colleges that have a predominantly liberal student body and environment. Can you guys suggest some colleges that are known to be quite liberal?

Absolutely, many colleges around the United States are known for their liberal student bodies and the social/political environments that they foster.

First, there's the University of California, Berkeley (Cal). UC Berkeley has a history of activism and progressive student movements dating back to the 1960s, and it maintains a liberal atmosphere.

On the East Coast, Brown University (Brown) and Wesleyan University have reputations for attracting liberal students due to their open curriculum, which fosters independent thinking and encourages students to pursue their interests outside of their major.

Oberlin College in Ohio is another school renowned for its liberal culture. Famous for being the first college to admit black students and women to bachelor's degree programs, it thrives in art, musical, and political activism.

New York University (NYU) and The New School, both located in New York City, have large liberal arts programs and are known for a left-leaning student body.

Vassar College is also known for its liberal leanings. Located in Poughkeepsie, New York, it has a diverse student body and is heavily involved in activism.

In addition, I cannot forget to mention Hampshire College. A member of the Five College Consortium in Massachusetts, Hampshire College is known for its alternative curriculum and liberal spirit.

Finally, Reed College in Oregon is another renowned liberal college. It's known for its rigorous academic program and activist culture.

Each of these schools has its own unique attributes, so I encourage researching each one to see which aligns best with your interests and values. The ultimate goal is to find a community where you feel like you can grow and thrive. The culture and environment can very much impact your college experience. I hope this helps!
