Most 'minor' college degrees?

I'm currently deciding on my college major, but I've also heard a lot about 'minoring' in something. When people talk about 'minor' degrees, what do they usually mean? And what are some popular ones?

When individuals mention a "minor," they are referring to a secondary concentration or specialization that a student can opt to study in addition to their major. The minor offers a way to explore another area of interest, and often complements the major, bringing a broader perspective or a unique skill set to the primary field of study.

Some popular minor choices include Business, Psychology, Spanish, Computer Science, and Creative Writing, to name a few. However, a minor can be in virtually any subject offered by the institution. This choice is often driven by the student's passions, career aspirations, or the desire to enhance the value of their major.

In terms of credit requirements, a minor usually takes far fewer credits to complete than a major. This can vary depending on the program and the institution, but generally, a minor might require about half the number of credits that a major does.

Remember, it's important to choose a minor that aligns with your academic goals and personal interests. It's not a requirement for graduation, but it can enrich your college experience and increase your marketability in the job market after graduation.
