Which U.S. colleges have the most British students?

I've spent a bunch of years growing up in the UK and I really loved the culture. I'm now considering colleges in the U.S. but am curious which ones have a sizeable British population. It'd be nice to have a piece of home with me. Know any?

Indeed, having a network of fellow British students can be comforting when moving to a new country for college. Different colleges attract varying amounts of international students, with well-renowned, large universities typically having the highest rates of international student enrollment.

Harvard University, Columbia University, and New York University (NYU) consistently rank amongst the U.S. colleges with the highest percentage of international students overall. Given their location, reputation, and vast course offerings, these schools often attract students from the United Kingdom too.

The University of Southern California (USC), Northeastern University in Boston, and the University of Illinois also have robust numbers of international students and could be appealing to British students.

However, you must keep in mind that how much you'll connect with other British students will likely depend as much on the institution's culture, clubs, and community as on the actual number of British students there. Many universities will have international student organizations or UK-specific clubs where you could connect with both fellow Brits and those interested in UK culture.

Finally, I would recommend reaching out to the international admissions office or the international student services office at the schools you're considering. They should be able to provide specific data about the number of British students currently enrolled, and they may also be able to put you in touch with a few. This could provide invaluable insight into the British student experience at these universities. Good luck with your college search!
