Highest Wage Post-Graduation

Hey guys, just curious, does anyone have any resources for determining which college graduates make the most post-graduation? I'd love to know which majors or fields are high paying, too. Thanks!

There are several resources available to gather this kind of data on post-graduation earnings. Using resources like the College Scorecard from the U.S. Department of Education can provide valuable insights. The Scorecard details the average salary for graduates 10 years after enrollment, among other metrics.

As for high-paying fields, typically, majors related to engineering, computer science, economics, and other STEM fields tend to have higher starting salaries. For instance, majors like Petroleum Engineering, Actuarial Mathematics, and Computer Science often yield some of the highest starting salaries for fresh graduates.

That said, it's crucial to remember that a major isn't always determinant of your future income. Many other factors, such as internship experiences, skill development, networking, and geographic location, can significantly impact your salary.

Lastly, while considering potential income is essential, don't forget to balance it with choosing a major that aligns with your interests and career goals. Passion and job satisfaction often result in long-term success and can correlate with earning potential over time as well. For throughout your career, dedication to your field can often lead to better opportunities and subsequent wage increases.
