What separates the richest high schools from others?

I've been reading about some of the 'richest' high schools in the country and I wonder what exactly separates them from the pack? Is it just available funding or is there something more?

When it comes to the wealthiest high schools, a significant differentiating factor is indeed the available funding. This funding often comes from a combination of local property taxes, donations, and other sources of income. But this is just one aspect of what can make these schools stand out.

High schools with a lot of resources can provide a myriad of amenities and opportunities for their students. These can include advanced classes, extensive extracurricular activities, updated facilities, experienced teachers, and comprehensive college prep resources.

The ability to offer a wide range of disciplines or specialized courses is another distinctive characteristic. This might take the form of advanced AP courses, specialized STEM classes, prestigious fine arts programs, or even courses in niche topics that may not typically be found in a high school curriculum.

Extracurriculars often extend beyond the typical sports and clubs found at most high schools. They can include elite competitive teams, clubs that go on international trips, or access to internships and partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
