AP Classes at NJ High Schools

Hey all, curious to know - does anyone have an idea which high schools in New Jersey offer the most AP classes? I'm really keen on getting a rigorous preparation before college and I've been looking out for schools that offer a wide variety. Thanks.

Certainly! Your interest in taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses in high school is a great strategy, as they can provide a rigorous academic experience and prepare you for college-level work.

Unfortunately, the information about which specific New Jersey high schools offer the most AP courses isn't readily available. However, large and well-resourced schools often tend to offer a wider variety of AP classes. This is often because they have more students, faculty, and infrastructure to support a larger assortment of classes.

Given that, one place to check might be the New Jersey Department of Education's School Performance Reports, which offer various data on individual schools, including course offerings.

In addition, some renowned schools in New Jersey known for their strong academic programs and likely to offer a variety of AP courses include High Technology High School in Lincroft, Biotechnology High School in Freehold, and Princeton High School in Princeton.

Lastly, it might be helpful to consider that the ability to excel in AP subjects can sometimes be more important than the sheer quantity of AP options available. Ultimately, colleges are looking to see that you pursued rigor in high school and challenged yourself, which can be accomplished by performing well in the AP subjects that interest you, even if that doesn't mean taking every AP class your school offers.

Best of luck with your school search!
