Where can I find the most remote high school?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the most remote high school is? How is education delivered there, considering the distance and possibly limited resources?

One of the most remote high schools in the world is Gambell School located in the village of Gambell, Alaska. This village is situated on St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea, about 200 miles southwest of mainland Alaska and just 36 miles from the eastern tips of Russia.

As for education delivery at Gambell School, despite its remoteness, it operates much like any other school in the United States. Students follow a similar curriculum to those on the mainland, with lessons in subjects like English, math, science, and social studies. Gambell School is part of the Bering Strait School District, and like other district schools, it enjoys some benefits like a distance education program that allows high school students to take online courses for college credit.

That said, due to its unique location, the school places a strong emphasis on the native Siberian Yupik culture and language. Students often participate in subsistence activities as part of their education, and they learn traditional crafts and practices which have been handed down through generations.

Regarding resources, the school is well supported by the district which ensures that necessary educational resources are provided. This includes textbooks, technology like computers, and other materials necessary for the curriculum. However, due to its location, internet connection can be quite spotty, and physical resources can take a long time to arrive. Therefore, the teachers at Gambell and other remote schools often need to be resourceful to ensure that the educational experience and outcomes are not compromised.

As you can see, although the location of the school might be remote, thorough efforts are made to ensure the education isn't.
