Stanford: Any high schools sending more students?

Does anyone know if there are high schools that are known for sending a lot of students to Stanford? Would love to get an idea of where most Stanford students come from.

Understanding the high schools that send a significant number of students to Stanford can indeed provide some insights. It's important to state that at Stanford, as with most other universities, the distribution of accepted students comes from a wide variety of high schools worldwide.

However, a few high schools are known to send a considerable number of students to highly selective colleges like Stanford, largely due to various factors such as rigorous academic programs, abundant resources, and supportive counseling systems.

These schools often include top private preparatory schools like Exeter, Andover, or Stuyvesant and magnet public schools such as Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia or the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy.

However, please remember that attending these schools doesn't guarantee admission to Stanford. Stanford's admissions team not only looks at the rigor of your high school curriculum and your performance but also a multitude of other factors such as your essays, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation. They are interested in the most academically capable, intellectually curious, and well-rounded individuals who show promising potential, regardless of the high school they attend.

While the above schools may have higher numbers simply due to the caliber of students they attract, it's crucial to remember that Stanford and other highly selective colleges accept students from a wide range of high schools - small, large, public, private, or charter, from different parts of the US and all over the world. So focus on making the most out of your current high school experience and building a well-rounded application.
