Feeder High Schools to Stanford?

Hey folks! I'm currently a junior and I have Stanford as one of my dream schools. To better understand its demographic, I was wondering if there are particular high schools that send more students to Stanford? Would love to get some insights!

Stanford, like other highly selective universities, tends not to favor a particular set of high schools. Instead, they're more interested in a student who can excel in challenging courses and demonstrate a deep passion in a couple areas of interest.

However, some types of schools that might see more students attending Stanford include:

- High schools in California: Stanford, being located in California, naturally sees a higher proportion of students from in-state simply due to proximity.

- Private schools or magnet schools: These schools often offer extensive resources and challenging curriculums that help prepare students for a university like Stanford.

- Schools with a strong STEM program: Given Stanford's reputation as a leading research institution, particularly in fields like engineering and computer science, high schools with robust STEM programs may have more students admitted.

But, again, remember that Stanford will be examining each applicant's individual achievements and potential more than their school's reputation. Keep focusing on your own academic and extracurricular pursuits, and try not stress too much over the statistical aspects. As a junior, at this stage, you could concentrate on things that are under your control - your grades, extracurricular activities, and college essays. Best of luck!
