Mac Computers in College

Hello everybody! I'm starting to make a list of college essentials and I noticed that many colleges often recommend Mac computers. Is there a specific reason for this? Like does it have something to do with the college programs or is it just a popularity thing?

There are a few reasons why some colleges might recommend Mac computers:

1. User Interface: Macs are known for their user-friendly interface, which can be helpful for students who might not be as technologically inclined.

2. Software Compatibility: Some specific academic programs, particularly in design or arts fields such as graphic design, photography, and music production, may utilize software that runs more seamlessly or is only available on Macs.
