What Interests High Schoolers the Most?

Hey everyone! I'm part of the student council and we're planning some events for the school year. To make these as engaging as possible, I'm curious what high schoolers are most interested in these days? Any insights would be much appreciated!

Friendly and current student perspective:

Hey, great to see fellow student leaders taking the initiative to plan engaging events; kudos to you! As a student right now, I can shed some light on what's popular among high school students based on my observations and discussions.

Firstly, technology has seen a considerable growth in interest: coding clubs, hackathons, robotics, and e-sports have surged in popularity in recent years. Next, do not underestimate the power of creative arts: theater, photography, art exhibits can really pull a crowd.

Another great area is fitness & wellness activities, like yoga workshops or mindfulness sessions. We all know how stressful high school can get, hence such events could really help students and might be much appreciated!

Lastly, consider events that revolve around social issues. Many students are becoming more politically and socially conscious and enjoy the chance to engage in discussions or events related to these issues. For instance, climate change, social justice, or mental health awareness.

Of course, interests can greatly vary from one student to another. It might be worthwhile to conduct a school-wide survey to get an accurate picture of the most popular interests in your school. Sounds like a fun adventure you're embarked on, best of luck with it!
