Who Are The Most Impressive High School Graduates Of The Year?

I've heard some insane stories about young achievers graduating from high school. But I'm intrigued to know, who are some of the most impressive kids graduating from high school this year?

While it's challenging to pinpoint the exact names of the most impressive high school graduates this year, I can certainly share about the types of achievements that are making heads turn in the academic community.

Many remarkable students demonstrate academic excellence by achieving perfect or near-perfect SAT/ACT scores or by excelling in rigorous coursework, such as AP classes. They earn national awards like the Intel Science Fair, National Merit Scholarships, Presidential Scholarships, etc., that underline their academic commitments.

In the arts, students might receive national or international recognition, like winning at prestigious competitions like the YoungArts Awards or the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Some may hold solo concerts, publish their works, or organize local art events, demonstrating great talents in their chosen field.

For those engaged in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM), we see students patenting inventions, entering science fairs with advanced-level research, or even starting their tech businesses.

Students involved in social activism are making significant waves as well, creating nonprofits or leading significant social campaigns in their communities or even nationally. Their initiatives may address climate change, poverty, education disparities, and racial inequality, among other urgent issues.

Athletes also stand out by excelling in their sports at the state or national level, sometimes even securing spots in junior national teams.

However, it's important to note that 'most impressive' is a relative concept and can mean different things to different people. Some students may have overcome significant personal hardships to graduate high school, which might not receive widespread recognition but is equally, if not more, impressive.

Please remember that while these achievements are indeed impressive, college admissions professionals are also interested in factors such as integrity, kindness, and persistence, which may not always result in a shiny award but are invaluable in their own right.
