Finding a Solid College in PA

Hey y'all! Has anyone compiled a list of good colleges in Pennsylvania? I'm especially focused on those strong in the Humanities, but any direction would be a great help. Thanks in advance.

Pennsylvania certainly boasts a diverse array of colleges with great humanities programs. Here's a brief list of some of the top institutions in the state that are known for their humanities offerings:

1. University of Pennsylvania (UPenn): This Ivy League institution is renowned for its liberal arts curriculum, which provides robust programming in humanities disciplines like English, Philosophy, Anthropology, and more. UPenn's humanities departments are all highly ranked, attracting globally recognized faculty and producing distinguished alumni.

2. Swarthmore College: As a highly selective liberal arts college, Swarthmore is known for its rigorous academic programming, including a robust selection of humanities majors. Degree offerings encompass Classical Studies, Film and Media Studies, Linguistics, and a variety of others.

3. Bryn Mawr College: This women's liberal arts college is celebrated for its humanities programs such as English, History and History of Art, and Growth and Structure of Cities. Also, Bryn Mawr College is part of the Tri-College Consortium with Haverford College and Swarthmore College, which allows for cross-registration.

4. Haverford College: Another member of the Tri-College Consortium, Haverford's humanities curriculum includes Philosophy, History, Comparative Literature, and more. The college is known for its unique interdisciplinary Concentrations, like Peace, Justice, and Human Rights.

5. Franklin & Marshall College: This liberal arts college offers outstanding programs in humanities fields such as American Studies, Classical Civilizations, Medieval and Renaissance Studies, and Environmental Humanities.

7. Lafayette College: From Engineering Studies to Government & Law, Lafayette College offers a wide range of courses in humanities. The college's programs are designed to foster critical thinking and discussion.

8. Pennsylvania State University (Penn State): Penn State offers a wide range of humanities programs, including Asian Studies, Jewish Studies, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Its School of Visual Arts and School of Music are also well-regarded.

Remember, the best way to know which school is the best fit for you is to research their specific programs, visiting the campus if possible, and reaching out to current students or alumni to get a feel for the school's culture and environment.
