Early Action at UMich

Hey folks, I've got UMich on my list for Early Action applications. I've heard their EA acceptance rate is pretty strict though. Can anyone shed more light on this? Just how selective is UMich for their Early Action? Is it worth a shot if I'm not a standout candidate?

UMich is indeed quite selective in its Early Action (EA) admissions, reflecting its status as a highly competitive school. While the University of Michigan does not release exact breakdowns of Early Action vs Regular Decision acceptance rates, it's safe to assume that the Early Action pool is quite competitive, as it tends to attract students who are highly interested in and well-suited for the school.

However, keep in mind applying Early Action can still be a strategic move. It shows demonstrated interest, which could be an area of consideration in their process. More importantly, if UMich is one of your top choices, applying EA allows you to hear back earlier and possibly relieve some application season stress.
