Toughest Degrees in University?

I've heard about some notoriously hard university degrees. But what do you guys think? Which are the toughest ones in your opinion and why?

Determining the "toughest" university degrees largely depends on an individual's strengths, interests, and the amount of work they're willing to put into their studies. However, it's commonly agreed that certain fields are notably challenging due to the intensity and breadth of the coursework.

Firstly, STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) are often rated as some of the toughest degrees to pursue. Degrees in this category, such as Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Physics, require strong quantitative skills, problem-solving abilities, and a grasp of complex theories. The level of detail involved can be incredibly meticulous, and the workload is often heavy with lab work, projects, and additional research.

Next, medical-related degrees such as Pre-Med, Nursing, and Pharmacy are also typically demanding. They require extensive memorization, long hours of study, and often include demanding practical components like internships or clinical rotations.

Similarly, Law school is notoriously challenging due to its demanding curriculum, high volumes of reading, and intense competition.

Lastly, while it might not come to mind immediately when thinking about "tough" degrees, Fine Arts can be incredibly rigorous in its own right. The large time commitment required for practice, creativity and originality needed for projects, and the emotional toll that creative work often takes can make this very demanding.

It's important to note that "tough" does not always equate to "valuable" or "fulfilling". It's best to choose a degree that aligns with your skills and interests, rather than solely focusing on perceived difficulty. What might be "tough" or challenging for one individual could be inspiring and engaging for another.
