What Are Easiest AP Classes in High School?

Yo, so I'm planning my course load for next year and pondering doing an AP. I'm aiming to score well, but I also don't want to overload myself too much. Which APs are generally known to be the easiest? I'm not super interested in just any easy AP, though, it needs to be something I actually enjoy. I appreciate your input!

Hi there! The "easiest" Advanced Placement (AP) class can vary significantly depending on your interests and strengths. That being said, here are a few that many students seem to find more manageable, organized by subject area, so hopefully you can find one that suits your interests:

- Humanities: AP Human Geography is often seen as one of the less demanding APs, as it's typically offered to ninth graders and covers broad concepts rather than minute details. AP Psychology is another generally accessible class; it's often appreciated for its real-world applications and could be a good fit if you have interest in understanding human behavior and the mind.

- Sciences: If you have a knack for hands-on learning and life sciences, AP Environmental Science might be an appealing option. It's often considered less rigorous than other AP science classes like Biology or Physics.

- Social Sciences: AP Macroeconomics or AP Microeconomics can be a good bet if you're interested in the workings of markets and economies on a large or small scale, respectively. If you enjoyed your standard U.S. Government class, you might find AP U.S. Government and Politics manageable as well.

- Arts: If you have a creative streak, consider AP Art History. This class isn't necessarily easy, but if you enjoy learning about various art periods, contexts, and works, you might find it engaging and more doable.

Please remember that what might seem easy to someone else could be challenging for you, and vice versa. It's also a good idea to consider how an AP class aligns with your future goals (college or career), as it's always beneficial to show a certain level of rigor in your chosen subject area. Happy class shopping!
