Beefing up my Vocabulary: Any Suggestions?

Kudos for your efforts to enhance your vocabulary! Here are some 'top-tier' words that could enhance your vocabulary arsenal:

1. 'Ebullient': This adjective refers to someone who is bubbling over with excitement or enthusiasm.

2. 'Ineffable': This refers to something so overwhelming it cannot be described in words.

3. 'Maudlin': This word typically refers to someone visibly sentimental or overly emotional--usually in an embarrassing way.

4. 'Venerable': This adjective is used to describe someone who is deeply respected, especially because of their age, wisdom, or character.

5. 'Mellifluous': This is a lovely word that refers to a sound that is pleasingly smooth and musical to hear.

In addition to these, remember that reading extensively is one of the most effective ways of learning new words. Aim to read a variety of texts – fiction, non-fiction, newspapers, and academic articles to expose yourself to a wealth of vocabulary.

Another effective approach is to use a thesaurus while writing. If you find yourself overusing a particular term, look it up in a thesaurus and learn alternative words with similar meanings. It's crucial to use new vocabulary words in your writing and conversations to reinforce them – that way, they will become a natural part of your language use.

Good luck with your vocabulary-building journey, as well as with your SAT prep!
