Hey folks, I've been prepping for the application process and came across the Universal College Application. I know about the Common App, but which schools also take the Universal one? Is it worth filling out both, or should I just stick to the Common App?
Hello! The Universal College Application (UCA) is accepted by a small number of colleges compared to the Common Application. In fact, it only has 2 schools listed on its site: https://www.universalcollegeapp.com/schools. This list can change, so it's crucial to verify the current admissions cycle's participating schools.
Concerning whether to fill out both the UCA and the Common App, it generally depends on where you're applying. If all the schools you're interested in accept the Common App, it's more efficient to use that exclusively.
However, if one of your preferred colleges only accepts the UCA or you believe the UCA format will better present your achievements and story, then it could be worth completing both applications. Always prioritize what best serves your individual application strategy. Best of luck with your college applications!
