What's the Acceptance Rate by Major at Clemson?

Hi all, I'm in my junior year and doing some college research. I'm interested in Clemson University, but I know the acceptance rate can vary by major. Does anybody know where I can find information on Clemson's acceptance rate divided by major?

Unfortunately, Clemson University, like most institutes, doesn't publicly release acceptance rates by major. However, their overall acceptance rate for the most recent academic year is about 38%. Keep in mind, though, that this does fluctuate yearly based on the number of applicants and the strength of the applicant pool.

If you're worried about your particular major being overly competitive (like Engineering or Nursing, for instance), I recommend focusing less on acceptance rates and more on your overall application. Clemson, like many universities, considers the whole package so that includes your GPA, extracurriculars, standardized test scores, essays, and letters of recommendation.

Remember to demonstrate your interest and skills in your chosen major in your application. For example, if you're applying for a STEM major, show involvement and leadership roles in STEM-related extracurricular activities, a strong grade in your math and science coursework, and possibly bring your interest in this field into your essays.

Building an impressive and cohesive application is likely to increase your chances of acceptance regardless of the specific numbers for your chosen major. Good luck in your application process!
