Trouble Deciding on Research Argument Topics

Hey people, I'm left to select a topic for a huge research argument paper due next semester. Could you throw some ideas or resources my way that would help me find a topic that nearly guarantees a good grade?

Many students find that starting with broad themes and narrowing down to more specific, unique ideas helps craft a compelling research argument. Subjects like climate change, technology & society, mental health, or education reform offer plenty of room for exploration and argument.

Let's say you started with technology and society. From there, you could narrow your topic to "The Impact of Social Media on Politics". After some preliminary research, you find that there's a lot of content around misinformation on social media, and now your topic is "Misinformation on Social Media and Its Impact on Elections". This is specific, current, and has a lot of potential for argument and analysis.

Remember that a great research topic should be interesting to you, manageable in scope, and have credible sources you can draw from. Don't be afraid to tweak or change your topic as your research progresses - going down one path might lead you to an even better argument. Good luck with your paper!
