Looking for an Argument Example Paragraph

It's your fellow junior here, I need to write an argumentative essay but I’m having trouble structuring my paragraphs. Does anyone have a GOOD example of an argument paragraph they could share? It would mean a lot!

Absolutely! Here's an example paragraph you might find helpful:

Topic Sentence: High school should incorporate financial literacy education into their curriculum.

Evidence: According to the Council for Economic Education, only 21 states require students to take a financial literacy course or that the topic be incorporated into a 21st-century skills class. This means there is a large number of high schoolers who are not receiving fundamental financial education before stepping into adulthood.

Reasoning/Analysis: Integrating financial literacy into the high school curriculum will not only equip students with the knowledge to manage personal finances, but also help them understand the repercussions of poor financial decisions. This could cover everything from understanding interest rates on credit cards and loans, to retirement planning, setting up an emergency fund, and effectively managing student loans. A strong foundation in financial literacy can contribute to lower levels of debt, higher savings rates, and overall better financial health for individuals and society at large.

Counterargument (if applicable): Some may argue that parents should be solely responsible for teaching their child about financial literacy. However, not all parents may be equipped with the proper tools or knowledge to impart this education, which could lead to a gap in the child's understanding and therefore their ability to manage finances in the future.

Concluding Sentence: Therefore, exposing students to financial education as part of the high school curriculum is a critical investment in our students' futures and in the financial prosperity of our country.

Hope that helps!
