University of Michigan Ann Arbor Early Action Acceptance Rate?

Hi, I'm currently in my junior year, and University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) is high on my college list. I'm contemplating applying early action. Does anybody know their early action acceptance rate? Any tips to increase my chances?

The University of Michigan does not officially publish its Early Action acceptance rate, but it is often believed to be higher than the overall acceptance rate, which was around 18%.

Applying Early Action can indeed boost your chances of getting accepted. However, remember, the University of Michigan uses a holistic review process, meaning your entire application – not just your grades and test scores – matters. They'll be looking at your extracurricular activities, letters of recommendation, essays, and overall fit for the institution.

Highlighting your interests and how they align with opportunities at Michigan can help. For example, if you're interested in business, talk about why Ross School of Business excites you. Perhaps you could discuss a specific course, professor, or initiative there that aligns with your career goals.

Also, since the University of Michigan is still test-optional for the 2024-2025 application cycle, you can choose to submit your SAT/ACT scores if you feel they will enhance your application.

Lastly, keep in mind the Early Action deadline for UMich is November 1. If you're serious about applying to UMich, send your application by this date. Be sure to start your application well before the deadline to avoid rushing and to provide enough time for writing thoughtful responses to their supplement essays. Enjoy the process and best of luck!
