AP Test Scores for 2025

Hey all, I know it's a bit early to ask, but does anyone have projections or thoughts on how AP test scores might be trending for 2025? I'm considering which AP classes to take based on my desired major and I want to position myself well for college applications.

While it's very forward-thinking of you to consider AP score trends for 2025, it's important to remember that projecting these trends might be challenging due to the multitude of factors at play. For instance, exam difficulty, student preparedness, instruction quality, and even changes in the test format or curriculum can all impact scores year-to-year.

However, when choosing which AP classes to take, it can be more beneficial to focus on your areas of interest and your prospective major in college. Colleges are more interested in your capacity to challenge yourself and excel in subjects that relate to your future studies than they are in whether you've achieved top scores in an arbitrary set of AP exams.

For instance, if you plan on majoring in a STEM field, AP courses like Calculus, Chemistry, or Physics might be a good fit. If you're more inclined towards humanities, AP Language and Composition, AP U.S. History, or AP World History might be more your speed.
