Georgetown EA vs RD Acceptance Rate

I'm considering applying to Georgetown either for Early Action or Regular Decision. However, I’m not sure how different the acceptance rates are for EA vs RD. Can anyone shed light on this?

While Georgetown University, like many selective universities, does not publish separate acceptance rates for Early Action and Regular Decision applicants, it's generally understood that the acceptance rate during the Early Action round is slightly higher than during the Regular Decision round. This could be due in part to the highly qualified pool of applicants who apply early, as these students often have Georgetown as one of their top-choice schools and therefore put a lot of effort into their applications.

In your decision process, it's essential to ask yourself whether your application will be as strong as it can be by the Early Action deadline. Since you'll need to submit everything earlier, you might not have as much time to perfect your essays or add any major accomplishments that might occur later in your senior year. If you believe you'll be able to present a stronger application by the Regular Decision deadline, it may be in your best interest to wait.

Good luck with your application!
