Middlebury Early Decision Rates?

Quick question! I will be applying to Middlebury College ED and I'm kind of freaking out over acceptance rates. Does anyone know what the ED acceptance rate for Middlebury is?

The Early Decision acceptance rate at Middlebury College does tend to be higher than the Regular Decision acceptance rate. While the school does not explicitly publish their Early Decision acceptance rate, it's typically in line with other selective liberal arts colleges, which means a higher acceptance rate for Early Decision applicants compared to Regular Decision.

However, don't forget that the Early Decision pool is generally more competitive than the Regular Decision pool, as it primarily includes students who are highly passionate about the school. So, while applying ED does increase your chances of acceptance at schools like Middlebury, it's by no means a guarantee, and the school will still be looking for students who are a good fit for their community, both academically and personally.

Remember, applying Early Decision is a binding commitment. If you are admitted, you are expected to withdraw all other college applications and attend Middlebury. You should only apply ED if you're absolutely certain that Middlebury is your first-choice school. Before applying ED, make sure you can afford the school by using the net price calculator on Middlebury's website. If the school's financial aid package ends up being inadequate, you can back out of the ED agreement, but this is a rare occurrence.

Best of luck with your application!
