Looking for Nutritionist Colleges

Hello everyone, I'm a junior strongly considering a career in nutrition. I'm hoping to find a college with a strong nutrition program. Can anyone recommend colleges that have excellent programs within this field of study? Ideally I'm searching for programs that offer good internship opportunities, strong faculty, and a comprehensive course of study. Any input would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Sure, there are definitely a few programs you might consider if you're interested in a strong nutrition program.

Boston University has a well-regarded nutrition program where students can focus on topics like clinical dietetics, nutrition in public health, and nutrition research. They offer a hands-on clinical practicum that gets you real-world experience in the fields of nutrition and dietetics.

Cornell University's Division of Nutritional Sciences is also highly regarded. They offer a blending of basic and applied sciences, spanning diverse fields such as chemistry and community nutrition. Cornell's program has a good track record for getting its graduates into competitive dietetic internships.

University of Washington's Nutritional Science program offers exceptional learning and research opportunities and its students can connect their classroom learning to real-world experiences through practicum and internships in communities, health industries, and research labs.

Finally, although it's a little smaller, you might want to look at Case Western Reserve University's program. They have a strong program with many faculty who are R.D.s (Registered Dietitians), and they have a Medical Dietetics track that prepares students for internships or professional programs after graduation.

All these colleges are known for their strong faculty, innovative nutrition research, and have established connections which can lead to meaningful internship and job opportunities. Be sure to look into the specifics of what each program offers to see which fits best with your career goals.
