Challenge Ahead: Most Difficult Undergrad Degrees?

Hi folks, I love challenging myself academically and want to potentially push my limits in college. So, I'm curious, what are some of the most difficult degrees to get at the undergraduate level?

The difficulty level of an undergraduate degree can vary across institutions and can largely depend on individual interests and strengths. However, certain majors carry a reputation for being quite rigorous due to their heavy course load, complex subject matter, or intensive practical requirements.

Architecture, for instance, often comes up as a challenging major due to its combination of creative design, advanced math, and science principles. It also typically demands a lot of hands-on projects and studio time, which can result in long hours outside of traditional class time.

Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering fields -- such as Chemical, Aerospace, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering -- are also frequently cited as demanding due to their emphasis on higher-level math and physics courses, coupled with meticulous lab work and projects.

Pursuing a dual degree or a degree with an Honors College can also be quite demanding.

Neuroscience and other science-intensive programs like Biochemistry or Physics often require understanding complex processes, conducting extensive lab work, and keeping up with rapidly evolving scientific research which can be challenging.

Additionally, some students might find liberal arts majors like Philosophy challenging as they require intensive reading, critical thinking, and writing on complex, abstract concepts.
