What is Harvard's regular decision acceptance rate?

I'm trying to figure out how competitive Harvard's regular decision round is. Does anyone know what their acceptance rate usually looks like for regular decision applicants? Also, how does it compare to their early action acceptance rate?

Harvard University annually publishes its acceptance rates. In the recent years, it has been quite selective with regular decision acceptance rates often falling below 3%. This rate signifies the tough competition in Harvard's applicant pool.

In comparison, the early action acceptance rate is typically higher, often around 14%. This percentage can fluctuate slightly based on the strength and size of the applicant pool each year.

These numbers indicate that while both rounds are highly competitive, being accepted through Early Action at Harvard is statistically more likely. However, keep in mind that the pool of early action applicants may also be more competitive since these students often represent some of the most driven and academically accomplished individuals in the applicant pool.

But remember, Harvard, like many top schools, takes a holistic approach to admissions. Consequently, they don't make decisions solely based on statistics. Other factors like your essays, recommendations, extracurricular activities, and how well you align with Harvard's values also matter significantly in the final decision.
