Oklahoma City Universities: What are My Options?

I'm looking into attending college in Oklahoma City but I'm not entirely sure what my options are. I've heard about Oklahoma City University and maybe one or two others, but I'd love to know more. I'm interested in schools with strong liberal arts programs and good student support services. Can anyone share some insights on what universities are worth checking out in OKC?

Sure! Besides Oklahoma City University, which is indeed known for a range of liberal arts programs, there are a few other large institutions in Oklahoma City that could be worth looking into.

The University of Oklahoma has a branch campus in Oklahoma City (OU Health Sciences Center) that is primarily medical, so it's not the best for liberal arts.

However, University of Central Oklahoma is about 30 minutes from Oklahoma City, and it is worth considering! It features a variety of degrees, both in the liberal arts and the sciences. The College of Liberal Arts specifically offers degree programs in English, History and Geography, Media Arts, and Modern Languages, to name a few. They also have various student support services, including academic advising and career services.

Another institution to look at is Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City. While it's larger in size, it does offer a variety of degree programs and student support services. However, they mostly focus on technical, health-related and business programs.

Finally, Southwestern Christian University, which is a small private school that offers several liberal arts programs. They provide strong emphasis on student support with academic advising, counseling services, and various student life activities.

Therefore, you have variety of options to explore in Oklahoma City. Each university has its own specialized set of programs and services so you might want to explore their websites or connect with their admissions offices for more in-depth information.
