Best Business Schools in New York for Undergrads?

Hi all, I'm a high school junior interested in pursuing business, and I'm trying to narrow down some colleges in New York. I am curious about which universities have the top undergraduate business programs.

Besides rankings, I'm interested in understanding which schools have strong internship connections, good alumni networks, or unique concentrations within their business programs. Any personal experiences, advice, or insider info would be greatly appreciated!

In New York, there are several universities recognized for their superb undergraduate business programs.

New York University's Stern School of Business is one of the most highly respected institutions for business. Beyond its top ranking, the location in NYC offers students valuable networking and internship opportunities with leading businesses and Wall Street firms. Stern offers a vast array of specializations that range from Actuarial Science to Sustainable Business.

Cornell University also provides a well-respected business program through its Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. Besides the sheer prestige of being an Ivy League university, Dyson's small class sizes and engaging faculty are often highlighted as major pluses. It also offers a unique set of concentrations like Environmental, Energy, and Resource Economics, and Agricultural Science.

Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business also stands out, with programs in Global Business, Entrepreneurship, and more. Fordham has strong ties to various industries in NYC, which can lead to unique practicum courses and internships.

A slightly less traditional path would be Columbia University - although Columbia doesn't have a traditional undergraduate business program, they offer an innovative and prestigious major in Economics-Political Science and Operations Research: Financial Engineering. Columbia's location and extensive alumni network make it an attractive option as well.

These are just examples; in reality, the best school would be the one that aligns with your personal goals and financial circumstances. Just remember to consider factors like class size, faculty, campus culture, and location in addition to the more quantifiable ones like internships and alumni networks. Don't shy away from reaching out to current students or alumni to get a firsthand account of their experiences.
