Early decision application deadline confusion

I'm a bit stressed about keeping track of all the deadlines for my college applications, especially for early decision. Can someone clarify when the deadlines usually are for early decision applications? I know they might differ from college to college, but having a general idea would really help. I'm planning to apply early decision to a couple of schools, but I'm worried I'll miss the deadline because of some mistake or miscommunication. Any tips on how to stay organized with these dates would also be super appreciated!

Indeed, keeping track of application deadlines can be quite daunting. Usually, early decision application deadlines fall around November 1st for many colleges, but it would be best to check each college's official admissions page for the most accurate information. Some colleges may have different deadlines, and they also may offer an Early Decision II deadline, which is typically around January 1st.

For staying organized, I recommend creating a spreadsheet detailing all your colleges of interest, their respective deadlines (Early Decision I, Early Decision II, Regular Decision, etc.) and the parts of the application required (essays, letters of recommendation, test scores where applicable, etc). This way, you'll have all your important information centralized and easy to access.

Also, consider setting reminders on your phone or computer a few weeks before the deadline as an extra precaution. This will ensure you have enough time to double-check everything and submit your applications. Good luck with your college applications! Remember, it's okay to ask for help if you need it.
