Can someone tell me about life at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville?

I'm seriously considering Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville for college and would love to know more about what it's like to be a student there. How's the campus life? Are there plenty of events and clubs to join? Also, I've read about their emphasis on internships and career readiness—how true is this from a student's perspective? Any advice or personal experiences to share?
