What's campus life like at California Baptist University?

Hey guys! I’ve been researching California Baptist University and am really curious about what the campus life is like there. I'm interested in everything from social activities, clubs, and student events to dorm life and overall campus vibe.

If you’re currently attending or have visited the campus, could you share your thoughts? I'm looking for a place where I can be involved and form a strong community, so I'd appreciate any insights on what students do for fun and how easy it is to make friends. Thanks so much!

First, CBU is a private Christian university, so faith plays a central role in campus life. There are Chapel services offered that foster a sense of spiritual community, and there are also many service learning and mission trip opportunities.

As to the social scene, CBU boasts over 50 student organizations, ranging from major-specific clubs to interest-based groups. There's even an annual student involvement fair where you can learn about all the clubs and activities available, making it pretty easy to find a group that aligns with your interests. Involvement in these clubs is a great way to meet new people and form friendships.

Furthermore, CBU's dorm life is often praised for being welcoming and inclusive. The residence halls organize activities consistently, which again helps foster a sense of community among the residents. There are also Commuter Life programs if you decide to live off-campus yet still want to stay involved.

Additionally, CBU is known for having a vibrant campus life with many events throughout the year, like the annual Fortuna Bowl, which is an intramural flag football championship played in front of the entire student body.

Lastly, the campus itself is described as modern and beautiful, which contributes to the overall positive vibe. Please remember though, everyone's experiences will be unique. If possible, plan a campus tour to get a personal feel of what it's like!

Hope this helps!
