Best colleges to consider in Chicago?

I'm looking into colleges in urban areas and was wondering about Chicago. It seems like a diverse place with a lot going on. I know about schools like the University of Chicago and Northwestern, but is there anything else in the city? I prefer colleges with strong academic programs and good campus life. Any suggestions on where I might find a good fit?

Chicago has several interesting and vibrant colleges beyond the University of Chicago and Northwestern University.

Loyola University Chicago is one such institution. Strong academic programs, particularly in Business, Nursing, and Psychology define Loyola, complimented by an engaging campus life. Nestled right next to Lake Michigan and with easy access to downtown, Loyola offers urban opportunities paired with a strong sense of community. In addition, Loyola does not have an application fee.

DePaul University is another option located in the heart of Chicago. It's known for its programs in Business, Computer Science, and performing arts. DePaul prides itself on its connectivity to the city, offering unique internships and networking opportunities thanks to its urban location.

Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) is a fantastic institution if you're leaning towards STEM fields. Particularly strong in Engineering and Architecture, it's located just a few miles south of the downtown area. IIT has strong ties to the tech and start-up scene in Chicago, making it a particularly attractive option for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Chicago State University is a smaller institution that offers tight-knit community experiences. It has a diverse student body and provides access to a wide range of areas of study, though it is especially known for its Pharmacy and Health Sciences program.

Remember to consider factors such as size, location, student body, and available majors to find a college that feels like the right fit for you!
