Tips for Applying to A&T University

I'm planning to apply to A&T University and would love some advice on how to make my application stand out. Does anyone have insights into what they look for in applicants? I'm interested in engineering, so any tips related to that program would be especially helpful. I've been working hard on my extracurriculars and have a decent GPA, but I'm not sure how much those weigh in the application process. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

In applying to A&T University, especially for engineering programs, there are several strategies you could use.

Firstly, highlight your academic preparation related to engineering in high school. This could include any advanced math or science courses you've taken, and importantly, how well you've performed in them. Demonstrate your ability to handle rigorous coursework.

Next, exhibit your extracurricular involvement, particularly those that are related to engineering or STEM. Did you join a robotics club? Did you participate in science fairs or competitions? Any engineering internships or jobs? Anything that shows your dedication to this field outside of the classroom provides a robust indication of your passion and commitment.

Lastly, your GPA will certainly be considered, but remember that A&T University, like many others, takes a holistic approach to applications. This means that while your grades are important, they’ll also consider all the other elements I've mentioned, as they’re interested in assessing your overall potential. Good luck with your application!
