Considering a UConn Chemical Engineering Major

I'm a high school junior starting to seriously think about my college applications and I'm really interested in chemical engineering. UConn has caught my eye, and I'm wondering what the program is like there. Does anyone have any insight into their chemical engineering program? How are the faculty and research opportunities? I'm also curious about what the student life is like, especially for engineering students. Any advice or personal experiences would be super appreciated!
