What are the transfer requirements for A&T?

I'm looking to transfer to North Carolina A&T State University next year, and I'm trying to work out exactly what I need for my application. Can anyone share info on the transfer requirements? I want to make sure all my credits will transfer smoothly and that I'm meeting all the necessary criteria to hopefully secure a spot. Any insights or advice about the application process or the campus would be super appreciated. I'm eager to make this happen and join Aggie Pride!

Transferring to a new college can be both exciting and daunting, but it's good to see that you're reviewing the transfer requirements well in advance.

At North Carolina A&T State University (NC A&T), applicants seeking transfer admission need to have completed at least 24 semester hours (or its equivalent) to be considered for transfer admission. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale from all institutions attended is the standard admission requirement as well.

In terms of credit transfer, how smoothly this goes can depend on the nature of your previous coursework. Generally, NC A&T honors credit for coursework taken at regionally accredited institutions if the grade received is a "C" or better. However, technical, vocational, and remedial courses aren't transferable.

To facilitate a smoother credit transfer process, you may use the Transfer Course Equivalency System provided by NC A&T. It helps you view how coursework at other institutions equates to NC A&T courses. Please keep in mind that this tool is just a guide and the actual transfer credit will be determined by the university.

Also, don't forget to complete the College of Ag and Environmental Sciences (CAES) Supplemental Application, as it's a pivotal part of the process. This application helps the college make informed decisions about transfer applicants.

Regarding insights about the application process, it would be beneficial to double-check whether your intended program has additional requirements. For campus life, connecting with current students or joining online spaces related to the school could be a great way to learn more!

Lastly, the campus is well-known for its strong sense of community, robust social activities, and active student organizations. If you get in, you're about to join an institution where students get the support they need to thrive academically and personally. Good luck with your transfer application! Aggie Pride indeed!
