Is an 'A' average GPA good enough for top colleges?

Hey guys, I've got an 'A' average GPA so far in my high school years. Is that considered competitive for schools like the Ivies, or do I need to push for more 'A+' grades?

For Ivy League schools, an 'A' average is certainly competitive, but remember that these institutions look for the strongest academic performers. Striving for 'A+' grades can help, but only if it does not come at the cost of your well-being or your ability to engage deeply in your extracurricular activities.

Keep in mind too that the strength of your courses matters. Rigorous classes, such as honors or Advanced Placement courses, are important because they challenge you and prepare you for the academic intensity of top-tier colleges.

So, while you should be proud of your GPA, continue to challenge yourself with hard courses and stay engaged in your extracurricular pursuits to present the most competitive profile possible. Best of luck!
